Some users may get a D3d error when trying to load the game. This can be caused by several factors. First off I'd check if the graphic card driver have it enabled at all. Not all graphic cards support this. Here's a few things you can try. Click the windows start button and type in 'DXDIAG' 
Start the program and check Display 1: 
If Direct3D Acceleration isn't enabled. Then its a problem with your driver/Direct X/Unsupported graphic card If this feature is enabled and the game still won't run. Try moving the file D3DIM700.DLL out of the game directory.
