Frequently Asked Questions
This is an attempt to answer the most frequently asked questions for the nolf games.

Data Execution Prevention (DEP)

Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is built into Windows 10 and adds an extra layer of security that stops malware from running in memory. It is enabled by default and is designed to recognize and terminate unauthorized scripts from running in reserved areas of computer memory.

Sadly, this includes older code as well. And you guessed it, NOLF2..

This is a carefully hidden setting that can be disabled if this is desired. However, I recommend making a exception for NOLF2 instead of disabling this feature

Open your Control Panel then click System

You will find a link that says Advanced system settings on the left side, click that one

This should open the System Properties Window and click Advanced then Settings

In the Performance Options windows, click the Data Execution Prevention tab

You will now have the option to add programs that you don't want this feature to stop

Lets Browse for Lithtech.exe which is located in your NOLF2 base folder

And to be sure, lets Add NOLF2.exe as well, both are located in the same folder.

All done, make sure they are checked and try to start the game.
(you may have to reboot if you changed certain things)
