hey, i have a lightobject by a fire and a light that ligths the word but the lightobject
is not working .i have the same set up in 3 other place`s
i added CAI Humans in the 4 spots that have lightobjects
just to see if lightobject`s work and 3 do but 1 dont...this not the 1st
a lightobject has not worked for me in fact everytime
i use them i have this problem...
ive replace the lightobjects 3 or 4 times get same thing
any ideas why 1 out of 4 dont work?

Even if you copy it?

I've often wondered about the same thing myself, you used ordinary light objects right? try Dirlights and see if that will give you a better result :)

One question though.. is there many lightobjects in the level?

For a regular light to light player good, you need to set "Fast Light Objects" FALSE.


Light objects change from different versions, so I'm not sure if you have an "ObjectLight," "ModelLight," or what, so let me say this, Some lights are made to only light props. A player is not necessarly a prop. It could be a model light.

But I think in Jupiter, any regular light will light player good if FastLightObjects is FALSE in the light's properties. But if more than one light is lighting player at the same time, like you have three lights lighting player at that location, the other two should be set to FastLightObjects TRUE. This is because you will be compounding the light renders on top of each other and slowing the computer down. This is why Fast Light Objects is set to TRUE by default.

i have 8 SpecailFX`s[fire] and 4 Lights and 4 ObjectLights so far
i just wanted a smiple effect wen you pass threw the lighted area
you and ur gun lights up too

well this is what i found out

Light = will light up the brushes if gouraud or lightmaps is set and
fastlightobject is true,

if set to false you dont need a objectlight

objectlight = lights up props like guns
and players or AI`s if fastlightobject is false

and somtimes but not all the time IF TRUE which is the prob, that i had but now
its fixed...thanks Coty,..YOU DA MAN!
